Descripción: Una ruta guiada para conocer el pasado sefardí de Lucena, incluyendo la visita a la Necrópolis Judía, Barrio de Santiago y Castillo del Moral,
finalizando en el Palacio de los Condes de Santa Ana con un microconcierto de música sefardí a cargo del Coro de Cámara Elí Hoshaná “Ciudad de Lucena”.

2.- Actividad: “ENTRE SABORES Y COSTUMBRES: Un viaje a la mesa sefardí”

Descripción: Showcooking Sefardí con Thermomix a cargo de Pilar Polonio y su equipo con el que los asistentes aprenderán más sobre la decoración y
costumbres en la mesa sefardí así como la elaboración de tres recetas sefardíes que serán degustadas por el público asistente en el transrcurso del evento.

La actividad incluye, todavía por definir, diversas actividades, entre las que se incluyen conferencias (por determinar) y actividades pedagógicas (taller de escritura, cata de aceite y vino)
La jornada finalizará con la visita nocturna a la judería de Uncastillo. Es una visita sorprendente, con actuaciones de música y pequeñas representaciones teatrales, con la colaboración de los vecinos de Uncastillo y con mucha asistencia de público. Las farolas de la judería se apagan y se discurre casi en la oscuridad, sólo guiados por la luz que emanan las velas colocadas por los propios vecinos en puertas y ventanas de sus casas. Durante el recorrido, se explican las características del urbanismo y la arquitectura de la judería, y se habla de la sociedad judía y sus relaciones con otras aljamas vecinas y con población cristiana de Uncastillo.

Le Dibbouk, monument théâtral de la culture juive, fut créée en 1920 durant une période de grands bouleversements mondiaux prélude aux catastrophes qui ont suivi. Nous vivons de nos jours un basculement de l’Histoire, une époque de fureur où nos repères se fissurent. Comme le souligne le sous-titre de la pièce, nous voici “entre deux mondes”.
Le Dibbouk raconte une histoire d’amour et de possession hantée par le souvenir de fiancés massacrés lors d’un pogrom dans un shtetl le jour de leur mariage.
Comme une répétition de l’Histoire, de nouveau nous sommes rappelés au souvenir des heures tragiques de l’humanité.
Iași, a city of approximately 390,000 inhabitants, is widely recognized as the cultural capital of Romania. Located in the North-East Region of the country, at the eastern border of the European Union and close to the Republic of Moldova, Iași has long served as a crossroads of cultures, ideas and traditions. For more than five centuries, the Jewish community of Iași—one of the oldest and most significant in Romania—has made an outstanding contribution to the city's social, economic, scientific and cultural development. The first synagogue in Iași was built in 1657, and the city became the birthplace of the world's first professional Yiddish theatre in the world, founded by Avram Goldfaden. During the first half of the twentieth century, more than half of Iași's population was Jewish, making the city one of the most important centres of Jewish life and culture in Eastern Europe.
As part of Ireland’s participation in the European Days of Jewish Culture 2026, Ring of Culture is launching Ahavah – An International Anthology, an international literary project inspired by this year’s theme, Love.
Writers from around the world are invited to submit poetry, short fiction, memoir, essays and other literary works exploring Jewish life, culture, heritage, memory and the many meanings of ahavah (love).
The anthology aims to celebrate Jewish culture through literature while bringing together established and emerging voices from different countries. Following the submission period, a selection of works will be published by Ring of Culture in an international anthology.
The international call for submissions officially opens on 6 September 2026, during the launch of the European Days of Jewish Culture, and remains open until 15 November 2026.

From his youth, when he read aloud to Jorge Luis Borges, to his tenure as director of the National Library of Argentina and his extensive body of essays, Manguel has championed reading as an experience of freedom, reflection, and connection with others.

For the Love of the City. Exploring the Jewish Heritage of Wrocław
During this event, we will examine a particular dimension of love – love for the city, expressed through the study, preservation, and popularisation of its history.
The lecture will explore both historical and contemporary research on the Jewish heritage of Wrocław, as well as the thread that connects them. The starting point will be the figure of Alfred Grotte – an architect, researcher of synagogues, and scholar of medieval Jewish history and architecture in Wrocław, as well as one of the founders of the pre-war Jewish Museum in the city. Grotte was among the first to systematically document the Jewish heritage of Silesia, without knowing that it would soon become evidence of a destroyed culture.
