La giornata di attività prevede diversi momenti dedicati a differenti target. Dibattiti, divulgazione, musica e impegno civico al centro del programma complessivo. Per la giornata verranno coinvolte la Corale della Chiesa Evangelica di Palmi; il Movimento Carismatico Gesù Risorto; il Rinnovamento nello Spirito Santo. Le corali, nelle ore mattutine all’interno del cineteatro “Rocco Gentile”, eseguiranno canti ispirati alla tradizione biblica e alcuni brani in lingua ebraica, contribuendo a creare un clima di ascolto, condivisione e dialogo tra le diverse sensibilità religiose. I momenti musicali saranno accompagnati da brevi presentazioni sul significato storico e spirituale dei testi proposti. A seguire, sempre al cineteatro, incontro con la comunità ebraica, alla presenza di istituzioni e rappresentanti UCEI. La presenza di una voce autorevole della comunità ebraica consentirà di favorire una conoscenza autentica della cultura e dell'identità ebraica e di promuovere un confronto fondato sul rispetto reciproco. Nel pomeriggio, all’interno della Villa Comunale, le letture condivise delle Scritture. Uno dei momenti centrali della manifestazione sarà dedicato alla lettura di brani selezionati della Torah, dei Salmi e dei Vangeli. Le letture saranno accompagnate da brevi riflessioni e commenti finalizzati a evidenziare i temi dell'amore, della giustizia, della misericordia, della fraternità e della responsabilità verso il prossimo. Nel pomeriggio, presso il Viale dei Giusti della Villa Comunale verrà dedicato spazio significativo alla memoria della Shoah, quale momento di riflessione storica e civile. Il momento commemorativo potrà essere accompagnato dall'accensione di candele della memoria da parte di rappresentanti delle istituzioni, delle comunità religiose, delle associazioni e dei cittadini presenti, quale gesto simbolico di impegno collettivo contro ogni forma di odio e discriminazione. La manifestazione si concluderà con la presentazione e la sottoscrizione pubblica della “Carta di Cittanova per il Dialogo e contro l'Antisemitismo”. I risultati attesi guardano al rafforzamento della rete istituzionale creata sui temi dell’accoglienza, della pace e della fratellanza, nel segno del dialogo tra le comunità presenti a Cittanova e sul territorio. Un percorso che intende coinvolgere il Terzo Settore locale, le parrocchie e le scuole, in continuità con le recenti esperienze già maturate.

Joining the conversation will be distinguished writers and friends of the honouree, including Irene Vallejo, Enrique Vila-Matas, and Jorge Volpi, who will reflect on Manguel’s intellectual journey, his legacy, and the enduring relevance of his work.
The Municipality of Roskovec warmly invites the public to the official inauguration of "From Memory to Dialogue – Roskovec Embracing Jewish Heritage", an interactive public installation organized within the framework of the European Days of Jewish Culture.The installation transforms remembrance into dialogue by inviting citizens and visitors to reflect on Jewish heritage as an integral part of Europe's shared history. Participants will be encouraged to write and hang personal messages of peace, hope, respect, tolerance and solidarity on a symbolic Tree of Dialogue, creating a living artwork that grows through community participation.
The event will bring together local authorities, cultural institutions, schools, civil society organizations, representatives of the Roma community, other community groups, and citizens. Through opening remarks, the official unveiling of the installation and interactive activities, the initiative will promote intercultural dialogue, strengthen social cohesion, and celebrate the values of remembrance, diversity, and peaceful coexistence.

Anschließend erfolgt von dort aus das Verlegungen an weiteren Stationen.

A primera vista, no hay rastros visibles, y nos encontramos para renovar nuestro compromiso con el principio de Kavod HaMet: “ofrecer al difunto el respeto y el honor adecuados”, una tradición milenaria que se había interrumpido después de 1391, cuando los ataques anti judíos resultaron en la desaparición de la comunidad.
Bajo nuestros pies, bajo arbustos y raíces, yacen miembros de nuestra extensa familia judía. Y con nuestra acción volvemos a tejer el alma del lugar con el paisaje que naturalmente se ha generado.
Toda historia o experiencia de vida es un libro en potencia, en que las palabras mantienen viva una memoria.
