As part of the European Days of Jewish Culture, the Jewish Community of Split invites visitors to discover the history, heritage and living traditions of Jewish life in Split through a special programme dedicated to this year’s theme, LOVE.

From 10:00 to 15:00, visitors will have the opportunity to visit the historic synagogue, explore the permanent exhibition, and learn about the story of the Jewish community of Split.

At 11:00, the programme continues with the opening of the exhibition LOVE, developed by the National Library of Israel, offering a journey through Jewish texts, traditions and expressions of love.

At 11:30, a lecture on Love and Marriage in Judaism, with a special focus on Split, will explore Jewish traditions surrounding relationships and marriage. The programme will conclude with From the Archives of the Jewish Community of Split – Love Letters and Marriage Documents, a presentation and exhibition bringing intimate stories from the community’s past to life through original archival materials.

Together, these activities connect Jewish heritage with personal stories, traditions and memories, showing how love has been expressed and preserved across generations.
