European Day of Jewish Culture (EDŽK) takes place annually in cities across Europe. This year, on September 6, it will be possible to visit places connected with the cultural and religious life of the Jewish community that are not normally accessible to the general public. The EDŽK will include visit to the monument of Rabbi Chatam Sofer on the General Ludvík Svoboda embankment and synagogues on Heydukova Street.

The exhibition deserves special attention Heritage Rediscovered II in the synagogue on Heyduková Street, which makes previously unknown Bratislava Judaica accessible. Visitors will also have access to permanent exhibition Museum of Jewish Culture SNM a four exhibitions: Exhibition Kosher – known vs. unknown It talks about the way of eating and the laws that need to be followed. From head to toe, dressed in the law is an exhibition that presents similar kosher laws, but in dress. The exhibition is dedicated to musical art Pressburger Klezmer Band – 30 years of a Slovak legend and is dedicated to fine arts exhibition of graphics by Valér Trabalka named Blessings – Brachot. Zaver creates film screening Memories from the Pool at the Edison Filmhub cinema.

The event is organized by the Jewish humanitarian organization B’nai B’rith Tolerance in cooperation with ŽNO Bratislava.
