From 8 September to 21 September 2026, a photographic exhibition “Greater and More Enduring Than This World” will be displayed at the Regional and Study Library Murska Sobota. This exhibition consists of black-and-white photographs that were taken over the past two years in the most eastern part of Slovenia, known as Prekmurje. The central motifs of the photographic works are ruins and abandoned places, which prompt to reflect on transience, memory, silence, and the possibility of storytelling.

The author of the exhibition is one of the more known Slovenian writers Dušan Šarotar who will perform a special guided tour of the exhibition supplemented by poetry reading as well. The guided tour and the reading will be held on 18 September 2026, at 6 pm.
